Vasile Movileanu' s Biography


1955, March 19, was born in the village Sacareni, Hincesti district, Republic of Moldova

1974-1978- Graduator from the school of Fine Arts “ I. Repin”, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova The workshop of Prf. M. Proniaev

1981- 1987- Graduate from Moscow Poligraphic Institute Department of book graphics. Disciple of Prf. Natalia Goncerova.

1990- Becomes a member of the Artist of Fine Arts Union from the Republic of Moldova.

1998- Member of international Association of plastic Artists ( UNESCO)

1987- Starting with this year participates in the majority of republican exhibitions from the country and abroad organized by the Ministry of Culture and Union of Artist of Moldova.

1998- Honor diploma of International Association of Plastics Arts (UNESCO). For diverses merits in development and promotion of book graphics for children and youth of Moldova.

1998- The Best graphics presentation of year at book of Mihail Sadoveanu “ Trei Povesti Minunate”

1997- Show room of book for children, award “ Book illustration for the book: L. Granaci, T. Gutuni, Vasile Movileanu” (“Clopocel”- “The Bell”)

1994- Top of the best book for children year 1993, award for the book” Adventures of Chess mate” by Mihail Sadoveanu

1992- “ Gheorghe Asachi” Award from the Ministry of Education and science of the Republic of Moldova dedicated to Art rof Children.

His illustration books for children and big people wrote by:
Grigore Vieru, Spiridon Vangheli., Dumitru Matcovschi, Mihail Sadoveanu, Jani Rodari, Minelaos Ludemis, Claudia Partole .


All the works can be found in the National Art Museum, Chisinau, Museum of Arts Tulcea, Romania, as well as in private collections from France, Rusia, Romania, Germania, Italia, America.
